Does Curl Coven offer color services?

No, we do not offer color services.

Does Curl Coven offer any of the following services:
Perms, Jheri curls, Gina curls, keratin treatments, relaxers, blowouts, silk presses, braids, twist-outs, locs, or protective styles?

No, we do not offer any of the above.

Does Curl Coven offer curly cuts for children?

We take appointments for clients 12 and older. A parent or guardian is required to be present inside the salon (not outside in the waiting room) during the entire duration of the appointment. The styling lesson will be taught to both the client and parent/guardian, so we do ask that there are no distractions like phone calls, remote work, etc. in order to provide the most efficient and impactful service possible.

I am scheduling an appointment for myself or someone else who is over 18. Can a friend or family member come to the appointment too?

No, Curl Coven does not allow additional guests to attend appointments with clients who are 18 or older, with the exception of translators or caretakers.

Does Curl Coven have any bilingual staff members?

Yes, Veronica offers services in Spanish and English.

I have had a curly cut at another salon before. Can I schedule as a returning client?

No, all clients who are new to Curl Coven are required to schedule a new client package. There are no exceptions to this policy.

I am a new client, but I would like a curly cut without a styling lesson. Can I schedule an Express Curl Cut?

No, all new clients are required to schedule a new client package and receive all included services in the package. This allows us to guarantee our work and service quality. There are no exceptions to this policy.

I have short hair. Is there a pricing difference?

No, all services are priced the same regardless of length, density, curl pattern, gender, and age.

I am interested in booking at Curl Coven, but would like to start with just a consultation first. Is that an available option?

We do not offer consultations as a stand-alone service. However, they are included in all of our service packages. We always schedule additional time for new client services to ensure that a thorough consultation can be done, and that questions can be answered during the styling lesson.

I wear my hair curly and straight. Is a curly cut a good fit for me?

Curly cuts are recommended for anyone who wears their natural wave/curl/coil the majority of the time. Due to the way our curly cuts are done, we do not recommend them for anyone who would like to wear their hair completely straight. However, they will blend when worn in a bouncy blowout.

What products do you recommend?

Product recommendations are personalized to each client and are provided in the salon during appointments only. This is to ensure that our suggestions are accurate, and allows us to provide education on how to use the products at home.

I have an allergy to specific ingredients. Does Curl Coven accommodate this?

We usually can, but please send an email to liv@curlcoven.com to let us know your allergies ahead of time. We do have an option available for fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner.

Is Curl Coven wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible at this time. We are located on the second floor, and our building does not have an elevator.

Is there free parking at Curl Coven?

Yes, there is a free parking lot available to all customers of the Shoppes on Fatherland. The lot is in the back of the building, which is where our entrance is located. Street parking is free on Fatherland St. and on most surrounding streets in the neighborhood. Please be sure to take note of any signage prior to parking your car (such as tow zones, handicapped only parking, paid parking lots, etc). Curl Coven is not responsible for parking tickets or towed vehicles.
